Ice cube introduces Big3 for retired NBA stars.

As some are aware of, Ice Cube has decided to start a new league for retired basketball players; a half court 3-on-3 basketball game. He got this idea while thinking about how their aging bodies wouldn’t be able to handle a full court game, and since 3-on-3 is one of the most popular pick-up games played, why not make a league out of it. He feels it’s a shame to watch all of his favorite stars just sit around doing nothing anymore.

The league has been named the BIG3 and will be starting this summer. The requirements are that all players must be over the age of 30, and be ex-professional players. Ice Cube will be serving as a player-coach in the league. There will be eight teams in the league, and there have already been some ex-stars that have signed up for the league such as; Allen Iverson, Mike Bibby, Kenyon Martin, Jason Williams, Bonzi Wells, and many others.

Ice Cube’s hope is that this league will provide not only a great source of entertainment, but also a way to give ex-stars a chance to keep playing the game. We’ll see just how successful this league is when summer hits.
