Def Jam is a cornerstone of Hip Hop, responsible for such acts and LL Cool J, RUN DMC, and The Beastie Boys. Operated by Rick Rubin and Russell Simmons, Def Jam started in 1983. For over 30 years, Def Jam has launched dozens of artists careers and have song millions of records. Their current roster includes 2 Chainz, Desiigner, Iggy Azalea, Nas, and Kanye West, just to name a few. Not too bad, right?
