The eight episode span has been a relief from the swarm of bad news we receive every day within society.

Recently, John Krasinski announced that he had sold 'SGN' to ViacomCBS news. Krasinski had spoken before that he knew the series would be short-lived on the YouTube platform. During the podcast 'Hey There Human' with Rainn Wilson, he had noted that it wasn't sustainable. The series was only ever to be eight episodes due to the amount of work it consisted. He hopes, becoming an executive producer for the series through ViacomCBS, that it will continue. Although he would not be able to anchor it as he had done before, but he hopes to be a guest on the show. We can hope with Krasinski as an Executive Producer, that the show will stay as intended, 'Some Good News'.

There has already been backlash about the move Krasinski made with SGN. Fans and more people are saddened that he 'sold out' the series to a big time network. Krasinski has defended his actions that he wanted the series to continue, but it couldn't with just him. He remains hopeful with the future of 'SGN' and what it may turn into.

He has given a chance to CBW news to take this at the helm and deliver good news. Perhaps, like everyone at home, people even in the news industry want the same. We sometimes forget that celebrities have jobs to fulfill as well, which means side projects become harder to create. John Krasinski is one of the few that has many roles to fulfill including acting, directing, and being a father. John Krasinski's move for SGN was intended keep it alive and the idea of receiving some good news. No matter the new outcome for the series, we have the original eight episodes to look back upon with smiles.
