Tell us about who greisun is and what you plan on bringing to the music industry.

greisun is a creative, curated, vesselist that has a clear understanding of vibes - a trendsetter. At the age of 21, greisun is not only working on her artist project, but also writing for many other artists as well as producing experimental pop music under her alter-ego, Po Et. greisun will break boundaries, not just in her music, but by crossing over into fashion, art, and holistic well-being. Unafraid to explore all realms of humanity, greisun expresses herself through her music, art, love, dance, spirituality, sexuality, drama, chaos, and deeply emotional persona, while still being able to release feel-good trappy, bops. She may be “Xtra” and fun, but she goes way deeper.

Neon, Bounce, Spicy

Who were some of your biggest influences coming up?

I was really lucky to grow up with two musicians as parents, so I was exposed to all types of music from a very young age. Everyone from Wayne Shorter to Joni Mitchell to The Jackson 5 to Billie Holiday. My biggest influences from an early age were definitely Joni Mitchell, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Nicks, Florence + The Machine, and my parents!

What was your inspiration around this single XTRA?

My whole life people have always been like “Grei, you’re so extra”. I don’t think a lot of my friends growing up really got me or understood that being confident, dramatic, and dressing up for myself on the daily was just an extension of my personality and artistic expression. Now they all fuck with my song and style and i’m just like, “who’s xtra now!”
