Everyone can't understand what you understand

Peace, Love and Understanding friends. Happy Tuesday! I find that in communication we use all four of our senses as well as prospective to not only help translate what the person is saying, but to also understand what is being said. I find that miscommunication happens between people because of prospective as well as a sense of not being able to comprehend what's being said and done.

Not everyone will understand your journey…The only person that is truly aware of your emotions,  intentions, or your interpretation of experiences (which is all they can be), is you. As much as others may — at most times — identify with you or your actions, it is impossible to go through life without occasionally being misunderstood. While you can control what you say, or how you act, you cannot always control how others choose to interpret it. And at times, it may seem that no matter how hard you try to explain yourself to others, they just don’t “get it”.

This should be expected. Not everyone will understand your journey. That’s fine. It’s not their journey to make sense of. It’s yours. Just because someone doesn’t understand your journey, it doesn’t mean you’re wrong or heading in the wrong direction. There can be — and often are — multiple paths to the same destination. And if the path you’re taking through life is along a road less traveled, then it will by its very nature, be less understood and less able to be identified withby those following more conventional routes.Learn to listen to feedback with an open mind, but not take it personally when someone doesn’t “get” or agree with you or your decisions. Realize that when all is said and done, you can choose not to let the feedback you’ve received from others have an impact on your decision making process or your journey. EVERYONE CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU UNDERSTAND This Year!
