Raf Simons steps down from Dior peacefully

Following Alexander Wang's suit Raf Simons announces his decision to step down as creative director for Dior and pursue his personal brand among other stuff I'm assuming. Simons was with Dior for 3 and a half years...that's like as old as a toddler who can speak broken sentences. In a statement released by Simons he says:

"It is a decision, based entirely and equally on my desire to focus on other interests in my life, including my own brand, and the passions that drive me outside of my work."

We've seen a couple of big designers step down from creative positions from global companies to work on their own personal brands. It's a move that quite frankly "same" and we all would do it, go work for a big company get some experience then leave when you're set to work on your own project. I can't wait to see what new projects this move enables Simons to create. In true artist fashion however his last runway show was one for the books. It was a literal 400,000 purple delphinium hill in front of the Louvre and had Rihanna front row, so you know it was lit AF fam. Good luck with your future endeavors Mr Simons, we have absolutely no doubt it will be a great success.
