Kanye West and Kim Kardashian planned a trip to Jay-Z and Beyonce's home for the weekend.
The past year was a difficult one for Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West after Kim survived terrifying robbery and Kanye was hospitalized after struggling with the aftermath. Rolling stone reported that before his hospitalization, he was experience nightmares and sleepless nights. After months of disappearing from social media and public appearances, Kardashian resurfaces in the form of aesthetically blurry photos of her family.
2017 looks to be off to a good start because it looks like Kimye has put the past behind them. Kim and Kanye visited Beyonce and Jay Z's home in Los Angeles on Friday, January 6 for a celebration of Blue Ivy's fifth birthday. This appearance is baffling considering its been only a few months since Kanye slammed both Beyonce and Jay Z on two separate occasions.
According to US Weekly, Kanye went on a long rant at his concert in Sacramento about how Beyonce agreed to perform at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards only if she won the award of Video of the Year for her song "Formation." This story seems doubtful considering she's one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed artist ever. It's sad to say, but it looks like the days of Kanye defending Beyonce's music videos are over.
Not only did Kanye make remarks about Beyonce, he was, apparently, very upset that Jay Z hadn't called in a while. After Kim's robbery, Kanye was frustrated that Jay Z didn't call, saying,
"Jay Z, call me, bruh, You still ain't called me. Jay Z, I know you got killers. Please don't send them at my head. Please call me. Talk to me like a man."
The friendship between the two seems to have been leant a helping hand in the form of Blue Ivy's birthday party. Kimye may have appeared at the party without their children, North and Saint, but at least the two power couples seem to be on good terms once again.
