Oprah too smart to talk about Trump

In a world of clickbait, it’s easy to write attention-grabbing headlines which Donald Trump inevitably falls into on a daily basis. Whether it’s making yet another racist remark, saying something creepy about his daughter Ivanka, or getting golden showers in Russia, he’s always in the news. There is, however, one woman who is taking a stand against the nonsense and it is none other than Oprah Winfrey.
    
After being hounded by reporters outside CBS Studios in New York City, Winfrey finally had the last straw after being questions by a TMZ reporter about Trump.
    
“I’m smart enough not to comment on that,” she told the reporter. "I didn’t do 38,000 interviews to get stuck with that one.”
    
Of course, TMZ did not stand down but she insisted that she had nothing to say on the subject.
    
“No, no, no, no, no, no,” she said. "Not out here in the middle of signing autographs. I don’t want to be in the Twitterverse, honey. Keep me out of it.”

The former talk show host, business woman, actor, author, and queen of our hearts slyly changed the subject when asked if she would attend Trump’s inauguration ceremony.
 
“You know what I’m doing when I leave here? I am getting on a plane and I’m flying to start Wrinkle In Time tomorrow. Wrinkle In Time, that amazing story Ava DuVernay is doing.”
    
The Disney cinematic adaptation will star Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, and Mindy Kaling and Oprah would rather everyone know about that than her feelings on Trump because, in all honesty, everyone already has a pretty good idea. It definitely seems like one of those cases where if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.
