Yeah..Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3 may actually be a real thing
It seems like the pants will be vital to see a new day. (Or possibly a part 3) Last June at the Los Angeles Film Festival, one of the stars of the film, Amber Tamblyn hefted in on the position of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 3 movie, and let's just announce, this rumor is pretty exciting.
But let's not be glib: the Traveling Pants are long gone. In the conclusion of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (Attack of the Traveling Pants), Lena's younger sister Effie swipes the pants and in one way or another, they are relinquished in Greece.
They were last seen on a clothesline, and possibly blown away or skyjacked by someone with exquisite taste in blue jeans. Lena heads to Greece to find them along with her gal pals but, no luck.
The movie concludes with the sisterhoods gawking out into the tide as they come to understand the traveling pants were always in their friendship.
The actresses have previously reunited in the beginning of 2016.
Ferrera has also explained the prospects of a third movie, stating PEOPLE in 2015,
“It’s actually very much in the works. There’s a fifth book, and what’s wonderful about it is, and the series to begin with, is that it’s really raw and honest about friendship and how hard it can be and how it changes as you grow up.”
Last Summer, Blake Lively also ambiguously referenced that things are progressing. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly The actress said, "There's a strong chance there might be a third . . . the four of us are still best friends. To be able to create something together again has always been a dream of ours." She then stated, "It would have to be something that really made sense. If you wait this long to do a third movie, it needs to honor the story and the legacy."
To be honest, the third film would be based on the fifth and final book seeing that the second movie explored books two, three, and four. The fifth book takes place in later years, when the girls have reached adult hood and have become distant. Thus, this should be an excellent time, right?
