Where Kanye West stands with Tidal and Jay Z’s “4:44”
Los Angeles, CA — The “Ultralight Beam,” Rapper, Kanye West is reportedly leaving the popular music streaming service, Tidal, over money disputes.
Tidal spiraled into our smart phones in 2015, causing somewhat of a ruckus towards competing music streaming services. It is noted that Kanye West was one of the first artists to exclusively release his content on the streaming platform.
As written in one very recent article by the “Los Angeles Times,” Kanye West’s 2016 hit album, “The Life of Pablo,” attracted a whopping 1.5 million subscribers to Tidal and debuted as a “Tidal Exclusive.” Fast forward to 2017 and now Mr. West has decided to end his professional relationship with Jay Z’s streaming service.
Many speculations rose from Jay Z’s recent release, which is now exclusively available on Tidal, “4:44,” where many sources and fans are aiming some of the Rapper’s lyrics to Mr. West.
Jay's new album contains the lyrics,
"I know people backstab you I felt bad too. But this f*** everybody attitude ain't natural. But you ain't a saint, this ain't kumbaye. But you got hurt because you did cool by 'Ye. You gave him $20 million without blinkin'. He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f*** was he thinking'? f*** wrong with everybody is what you sayin'. But if everybody's crazy, you're the one that's insane.”
Ouch! As I’m sure many of these famous Rapper’s fans are heavily on social media, they are quick to assume Jay Z is heading right for Mr. West and his decision to leave. However, it is reported that Kanye West is leaving the popular music streaming service, Tidal, over money disputes. Mr. West allegedly feels like he is owed more than $3 million for his successful run on Tidal with his “The Life of Pablo,” album, according to a TMZ Report.
Representatives of Jay Z, Tidal or Kanye West have not commented on the matter.
