We started the conversation with basic COVID 101 introductions. Assuring health and wealth are steady. Brilliant enough his vibe was common sense.

¿Téo? is known for his artistic visuals alongside his creative brother Moises Arias, and his genres infusion. No stranger to his newfound fame, friendships with Jaden and Willow Smith, Tyler the Creator, and more; allows fans to build loyalty with ease. His knowledge and peace were felt through the receiver. Our conversation started and ended full of life.

Nia: Your images are so artistically crafted, what inspires your aesthetic?

¿Téo?: I think I'm lucky to have my brother Moises. I don't know if I would call him a photographer. My brother is going to be a really incredible director. That’s his goal in life, he wants to make really great films. Like Stanley Krueger, he started with photography.

I feel like unconsciously or consciously he’s been following photography and shooting since 2012, and evolving in that craft. I’ve just been present through it. Living with him all my life. We’ve always created together and made short films together.

He captures me in the most authentic moments. Anybody around him! He captures authentic images, that’s really hard to recreate - things that organically happen. I’m just lucky to have that aseptic of it.

We grew up in the film industry!  We’re both actors. We are lucky to be around people that’s really evolved in the craft and people that we look up to and admire. Just great art! Visually we love great film making. So that’s always been a part of the aesthetic and keeping the limit of the visuals.

NR: I would say that I could hear UNI2 in all the clubs this summer, but I’m not sure now - with COVID-19. What was the release like and how are you and your team staying creative while pushing the song?

¿Téo?: Once we saw it coming, we felt like….more power to it! People are open, People want art, they want to absorb new things, and they want to have something to do. Everyone is kind of on their vibe. Funny we had this cover art with two hands.

And the whole concept of UNI2 before any of this happened. It felt, meant to be. More wood to the fire. I said, “This is what’s going to happen, let’s make the most of it”. I’m just really lucky to have the people that listen to my music and that’s receptive and open to hearing what it is that I have to put out. Which I’m very grateful for.

We had to get creative with the release, because going back to the music videos. My brother and I had an elaborate concept video for the UNI2 that we haven’t been able to execute. It was going to involve different sets and things like that...that my brother in his own art - wanted to elevate.

Set a new standard. So whenever we get to do it I will be excited about it. We had to get creative in other ways! You have to kinda roll with it, that's the whole point of art it translates into the times and you have to do what you can to make the most out of what it is.

NR: Your friends have achieved much success, as well as you, I’m sure you all bounce dope ideas all the time. How does the support and companionship of your friends help you create music? What are the different ways that you all support one another?

¿Téo?: Being in the presence of each other. Each one of us individually - we have our own creative habits. When I see my friends - Jayden or Moi going hard, I would observe them make music at a young age, while I was creating on my own.

Even seeing them create, is an avenue discovering a new way for me to do something. Even if my brother is doing something I don’t exactly do, it’s still inspiring. Open conversations, being able to bounce ideas, or how they perceive something.

Just creating that creative environment, and the hub is emotional and energetic support. And you know you have homies that are down, and they have the vision! They’re also trying to achieve something, level up, and evolve. The energy is dynamic. If someone is all of a sudden on fire, the flame is there, you might as well tap into that.

NR: We heard you have an album coming out entitled, Perfume Now. When can fans expect to hear the album and what’s to come from the project?

¿Téo?: New Perfume is the name of the project. It’s an evolution of the first project that I will put out. I’m still keeping the same essence, but I'm pushing myself and evolving as all artists do. Diving into my roots more. Americano is the song that sets a certain tone.

The album has that same DNA. To me the Spanish and English thing is not an idea - it’s a reality. I speak to my parents in Spanish every day, my brother in English, my friends in English, my cousins in Spanish. The way that I live in the way that it translates into my music. That's definitely something to definitely expect from the project, more of my essence, honing in on it more.

The whole concept of it being New Perfume. Every genre of music has been a floor into itself. Every genre of music has its moment. Hip-hop, Jazz. It’s not so much about me creating, or having a new flower to bloom. But having the fragrance of all these flowers and making a new perfume. Different things that inspire me and that I pull from.

NR: What can fans expect from “Suplicar”? We hear that it’ll be much different than your other songs.

¿Téo?: Suplicar means to beg. That will actually be my first song fully in Spanish. I”m really excited about it. It has a reggaeton vibe which is something that I’m excited to put out in the world. I’ve been sitting on this record for some time, not for super long. It’s definitely a new flavor, so I’m excited for it to come out!

NR: Anything else you want to leave us with?

¿Téo?: We’re continuing to create. I’m excited about the things that I haven’t done yet. Every day is a new creative process. Sending love and good energy to the world right now. Continuing the creative endeavors.
