Rockstar Juice WRLD “Legends Never Die” On Track to 480K Total US Unit Sales

In the wake of Juice Wrld’s tragic death on December 8, 2019 due to a drug overdose, the Chicago-born rapper’s final projects have been released to the public in a posthumous album titled, Legends Never Die. The 21-track album features the voices of  other notable talents like Trippie Redd and Halsey, and opens up with a particularly heartbreaking intro given the rapper’s untimely death.

“It’s a lot of issues in the world to talk about. I don't know, music is just a beautiful thing, like I love myself so much, as far as the way I make music, the way God made me,”

says Juice Wrld while closing out a show. His candid expression tugs at our hearts and reminds us of the raw vulnerability he often brought to his music.

Like many of his previous songs, the overarching theme of Legends Never Die revolves around a life of debauchery, demons, and depression that is delivered over a distinct sound that has come to be emulated by many SoundCloud rappers. On tracks like “Tell Me You Love Me,”and “Wishing Well,” we are once again whisked into the familiar melancholic crooning of the rising young rapper.

However, unlike his previous bodies of work, Legends Never Die appears to lack a certain luster that characterized the artist’s other works such as, Goodbye & Good Riddance or even Death Race for Love. However, despite the album lacking this particular element, it captures the essence of Juice Wrld and the light he was on the cusp of further sharing with the world; a quality his fans across the globe are sure to appreciate.
