Greisun Reveals New Found Freedom On Her Latest Release "Purgatory."
Somewhere in between what she has and what she wants, greisun finds comfort in the “Purgatory” a past-lover held her in.
Relating deeply to the themes of greek mythology and the goddess archetype, greisun and videographer, Whitney Otte find parallels to greisun’s own experience. This derives back to the ancient Greek goddess Persephone’s story.
Although greisun and Persephone are characterized as forces of life, growth, and light, they are inevitably drawn to the darkness at times. They even find parts of the Hades character, who is holding them “hostage”, to be capable of the same light and love.
By writing “Purgatory”, greisun literally felt “released” from the in-between place where her past love held her for years, and was able to find new found freedom/enjoyment in being alone.
